Today is a sad day for me. I found out Guru from Gang Starr has passed. He is my favorite MC of all time, and I am one of his biggest fans. I think Guru and DJ Premier made a big impact with Hip Hop Music in the early 90's. I remember listening to Moment of Truth, it was on one of the many skateboarding videos we use to watch. I was probably ten or eleven at the time, but something just drew me in to listen more. That underground sound, that monotone flow, those unlimited rhymes, it was so jazzy. I felt really good listening to every single one of their songs. There were so many stories that he told and he did it well. He taught me how to be at top, to do work, that the rep gets bigger, how to treat a lady with royalty, and STEEZ. Rest in Peace Guru, you will be missed.
It pissed me off that radio stations will now play Gangstarr records when Guru finally dies. It's such a shame for his music to be remembered or played he had to die. All we hear is crap like Wayne or Young Money all year around.
